About Theresa Krallitsch
Theresa Krallitsch is an artist living in Brookfield, IL. She has an MFA and MA in Painting from The University of Iowa and a BFA in Printmaking from Northern Arizona University.
She has exhibited her work in Arizona, Iowa, and Illinois. Her work was featured in the 2017 MFA Annual edition of New American Paintings.
Inspired by the challenges we encounter as humans during daily life and major transitions, her work spans many mediums. From traditional oil painting to multi-process Printmaking to the familial traditions of knitting and crocheting, she allows the physical and emotional spaces she inhabits to influence her making. Frequently centering around themes of loss and reconstruction, Krallitsch invites viewers to contemplate how patterns and rituals fabricate the human experience.
